not sure if this is where I would/should post this but wanted to make folks aware that the flamed maple F50 head and single 12 cab on craigslist in idaho are aftermarket shells.
I forwarded the pics from the seller to mesa and they confirmed by phone and email that these were not made at mesa. I found it odd that the head shell was not dovetailed and the cab carried no serial number or normal input jack plate.
the seller supposedly purchased this from guitar center and seemed somewhat shocked when I brought this to his attention on the phone, but hasnt yanked or corrected his posting either so who knows if he knew prior..
anyway , I thought it worth mentioning just in case someone was looking for a fancier F series head . I was stoked to buy it... but glad I checked it out before hand.
