Hello everyone

I just picked up a used Stiletto Deuce head and thought changing the tubes would be prudent. I've never changed tubes before and had a question. Are the outer 2 power tube slots where one matched set would be placed, and then of course the other set goes in the center 2 slots?

Don't want to burn my new toy up :)

Thanks

Ahh, very good. Thank you :) That manual will be handy.

Can't wait to get this amp dialed in. Some of the tones I have heard so far are extremely cool.

Also have to source a switch for it. I see Boogie sells them, but out of curiosity, are there any aftermarket switches worth investigating?

Thanks again

If I'm not mistaken (and I could be) any standard amp switch will work.
I haven't tried it, but I do have a switch for another amp in the back room...I'll see if it works with my Stiletto.

(it will be a bit later this evening but I'll post the results)

hey no problem! this is actually my first mesa too HA!

OK, as I thought...I tried a switch from another amp labeled 'channel' and 'reverb' and the switch has LEDs.
The channel switch switched the channels and the reverb switch turned on the boost. with LEDs activating also.

I think you'll be OK with most generic amp switches....but there are different types of switching so you'd have to make sure.

When in doubt, try it out...or contact mesa directly. (they've been a great help to me when I couldn't find the answer online.)

Thanks for all of your help. Got a full set of new tubes in and the amp sounds great.

Thanks again :)
