Hi new here and I just got a Ace head and the thing sounds amazing. My first thing I want to do is replace the tubes I have read most post Stating to replace the el34 with 6ca7 any other suggestions for brands and types would be great.

why would you want to replace the boogie tubes? I have always been afraid of putting non M/B branded tubes into a M/B fixed bias amp. If the bias doesn't match, you can not adjust this from the amp..... I am no expert in this.... just thinking....

I've had TungSol EL-34Bs in mine for almost 4 years now...they still sound great.
