I just recently relocated to Augusta, Ga and I went into the only dealer that sells boogie. Not bad place for a mom and pop shop, but while I was there I notice they have a Stiletto Trident. The price on it was 1799. Since these things are discontinued has anyone been able to score one of these at a discounted price ? 150 watts seems to be pretty much for me, will I notice any difference if I just run it @ 50 ?

Looking for a deal, hoping to score !

Is it a Stage 2 ? New? Used? If it's a new stage 2 you won't get a discount at the music store. If it's a used stage 1 I wouldn't pay more that 1G for it. Might even be able to find one for less if you look around.

I'm not sure what the market price are for a used stage 2.

EDIT: here's an example from ebay....stage 2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mesa-Boogie-Stiletto-Deuce-Stage-II-100-watt-Guitar-Amp-Guitar-Amp-Head-/251042712718?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a734fcc8e

Here's a stage 1....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mesa-Boogie-Stiletto-Deuce-Stage-I-Amp-Head-/300768831229?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46073826fd

I know these are Deuce 50-100 multi-watt probably run around the same price as a Trident. Yes, you will notice a difference between 50-150watts. 150=more headroom.

HOPE THESE HELP !

Ah, crap. i am assuming it is a stage II and i know it isn't "used" but just like you sent i would drop 1799 for it when i can get a used one for 900 - 1000. maybe i'll just make 'em an offer and let them sweat it out for a while. one would think they are saying to themselves as soon as they sell it will bring in a royal atlantic. it's not a big store.

but anybody notice any differences between duece and trident in the 50 watt mode ?
