1) ran the new purple deuce stage 2 into my half-open 412 mesa 600 watt cab (MS-12s)
2) crunch is not crunch like Marshall
3) ran it in both 50 and 100 watt with bold and SS recto settings
4) GREAT amp for leads/shredding; response is extremely fast
5) not muddy sounding at all like my H&K switchblade with the bass on 0 (for the H&K)
6) great singing sustain and pinched harmonics
7) great growl (but not the Marshall crunch/bark)
8) did sound somewhat ice-picky but you need to mess with the knobs to dial that out
I think I may be able to get better crunch with 25 watt greenbacks in a marshall cab but I don't really know.
Overall, it's a decent amp and I think it would sound badass with a recto or my Rivera (both have lots of low-end thump).
So it's basically a very good lead amp and alright for rhythm with great cleans for a EL34 amp.
