I'm still looking for a good speaker for my 2x12, 1/2 open. I figure I'll put a V30 in the closed section, but what about the open half? This is for my Duece.

I am actually liking these more than the V30 these days for my Deuce. I didn't at first but now as I am learning my amp more, I think they sound smoother to me - more scooped and better bottom end.

Is the cab open or closed in the back?

Closed & Open. I've been switching them and the V30's between as closed back 2X12, 1/2 open Avatar 2X12, and a 3/4 closed Mesa 1X12. Of all of the combinations with my Deuce, I think I like the G12T75's in the closed 2X12 - but they still had the same characteristics in the Avatar, just not as much bottom and a bit more loose sounding.
