I have owned a Stiletto ACE for about 2 years now and there is a minor problem with it. When I switch to tube rectification my signal usually goes dead unless I position the tube rectifier in the socket a certain way (I have to wiggle it while on standby and then try the amp several times). I don't want to try too much since the amp is under warranty but the nearest Mesa Service Center is about 3 hours away (the local dealer doesn't service MESA). I talked to Mesa and they told me to tighten the tube socket retainer (which I did) but the tube is still not tight enough and Mesa said that I might need to re-tension the tube socket. Has anyone done this task before?
