What cab with a Trident?

I have a Stiletto II head I bought from of all people, John Fogerty! I'm running it through 2 slantfront ADA Splitstack 2X12s. I've never been able to get a nice airy top end sheen out of this setup. My gold standard is my old Blonde Bassman head, which just has such an open, present, spine tingling sound.

I'm starting to think the cabs and speakers are not doing the stiletto justice. What do other people use? I'm willing to drag my tele and head down to Guitar Center, but what should I be looking for? Should I just swap out the speakers or go for a new 4X12?

it depends if you are looking for an open back or a closed back. from what you are saying, i would suggest the road king 4x12. you can't go wrong having half of it open and half of it closed back. you can get a nice airy top end and all that. you can get a heavy awesome sound too, all out of one cab.
