I'm thinking of adding an open back 1x12 to my Rectoverb 25 combo that I still love dearly. I'm looking for a speaker that would compliment the Fillmore nicely. I love the way the combo sounds as is, I'm just looking to add maybe some more body to the tone.
My initial thought was to go with a 55Hz G12H30 (I've used that speaker in open back cabs a lot in the past and really loved it), or a C90. The Fillmore is supposed to be half-way between a V30 and a C90.
What do you guys think?
I'm playing most of the time on a clean/light OD setting, but venture up to an 80s hard rock kind of tone (think Maiden), on channel 2 (on the modern setting) with the gain at 11 o'clock.
