Hey guys,

Im new here and I was just wondering if anyone could send me through some basic information (date of manufacture, series, pre-500? anything at all really) on an amp that I purchased second hand some 20 odd years ago?

It is a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier (2 channel) with an early serial number that I haven't seen in this format posted anywhere online - there is no hyphen between the R and the 0. The serial reads: R0377

looking forward to your replies!

Have you pulled the chassis to look at the internals? The date of manufacture and other information may be written inside.

That should be a Rev C from what I can tell. Here's a listing from one that sold:

https://reverb.com/item/12844740-pre-500-rev-c-mesa-boogie-dual-rectifier-triple-rec-prototype-1992-black-face-chrome-chassis

That had serial number in format: R0217

Hi there,
The 2 channel was made for 8 years so it would have been made close to the start, the website from Mesa is attached if that helps at all.

There is also some good info here

Cheers
