Do older mesa boogie amps need certain capacitors replaced? I have a rectoverb 50 that is about 12 years old.

Eventually they may need to be replaced. My Dual Rec is about 20 years old and still has the original caps.

My Roadster is coming up on 12 years old and I have no reason to even consider it. The amp plays great and is played at band volume 4-5 hours every week plus gigs since I got it.

These are the years when you reap the rewards of Mesa build quality.

Are you having any issues with the amp? If not, don’t try to fix what ain’t broke.

Correct. You are YEARS away from needing cap replacement. Don't fall for the "techs" who spread the *every 10 years* line...
