Hi, I'm a new Mesa Triple owner and have heard a few Triple Rectifiers throughout the years and am curious about a few things...

What year was this Triple built...R-057977

Is there a Sonic difference between different generations?

I retubed this amp recently but it doesn't seem to sound like the one I recently rented and heard in the studio on the same gain and amp settings. I currently have these settings that seemed to sound the best to me for rock/metal.....

Modern
Diode
Bold
Gain 2pm
Bass 10am
Mid 9am
Treble 4pm
Presence Noon

The rented one seemed to have a more solid gain and we used the same guitars and cabs if curious.

Thanks

Is this a multiwatt model?

If not, it's got to be late into the run of the original 3 channel, probably made about 10 years ago or so.

You can pull the chassis to get the date of manufacture.

It's a multi watt at 150 or 50.

I'll check the chasis whenever I get in there again thanks.

Did Mesa ever tweak the way these sound from generation to generation?
I feel like this one doesn't have the thickness the other one I heard had with similar know settings. Mine with the gain at full blast didn't sound like the other one around 1-2pm. Mines thinner and fuzzier without the thickness of gain yet the freqs are there with tons of bass etc.

I have not heard either way if there are revisions of the multi-watt rectos.
