RectoVerb 25 Volume Question/Issue?

Post by traskedgar » Sun Jan 14, 2018 2:44 pm

Hey peeps
This will probably be an easy one for you guys.
My RectoVerb 25 combo is much louder on the Modern setting than on the Vintage setting (channel 2)
Is this by design?
The amp has been this way since day 1.
Thank you!

Yes. Modern mode bypasses the negative feedback loop... which makes the amp much louder.
Ignore the hype and trust your ears. Play more, buy less = better tone.

Yep. The manual is a good read to get an overview of the modes and I think mentions this also.
Rankings: #1 Mark V head, #1b TC50 combo, #3 Rectoverb 25 head
