I guess it's OK to post a fix rather than a problem?
Bought a Mini-Rec. Worked fine but looked tatty so decided to dismantle it and clean it up blah blah. In the process double-checked it had the right fuse. Reassembled after disappointing paint results and it was dead. Nothing. Just like a blown fuse but, frustratingly, the fuse was fine.
Took the bottom off and noticed the fuse holder had come to pieces. Reassembled it and all's well. Will buy a better quality holder for a more reliable, long-term fix.
OK, not genius-level analysis and repair but I'm still pleased with myself and it just might help out someone similarly electronically inept.
Molly.
