This may not be the way you want to do it, but the easiest, quickest, and safest way to do it would be to get an LED strip for a computer like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQR7R32/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Then wire it to a 9v adapter like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CMP434/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, then a wall adapter, like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CP1QLSC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, or you can run a 9v battery with one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005D65LEG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did this to a Marshall and it looked awesome. The downside being that you have to use an additional power outlet for the light, or connect a battery, so it won't flip on when you turn the amp on. The upside being that you don't risk zapping yourself going into the amp AND you don't have to tap into the amp's power supply thus there is no risk of hum, hiss, squeal, or anything else.
