New member here and I have a question about my incoming Single Rectifier Solo 50 head. It is a version1. Should have I purchased
a version2? I do not really care about not using EL34s. Do the V1s sound as good as the V2s? Thanks in advance for your oppinions
and advice.

V1s can sound just fine, I never had any complaints about my V1 but I never use it now that I have a Road King

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping that was the case.

Before World War II, World War I was called The Great War.

It's not until after a "2" comes out, that they start saying "1".

What? Who's "they" :?:

Congrats on the NAD!

I have a series 2, and currently using EL34's. But, when I had 6L6's in her, I jammed with a friend of a friend who had a series 1 and they sounded almost the exact same to my ear. We were playing metal with high gain, so they might sound different at lower gains, but I don't know, only high gain comes out of mine.
