Hi all,

We all know that the Rev. 1 Solo 50s had that absolutely beautiful dropout in the channel switch and most of us have worked around it for years (I A/B to a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister for clean) and was wondering if anyone has yet to devise a mod for the channel relays to remedy the mechanical click/occasional thump/dropout of level that this beauty is known for?

Comparing it to the 3 Channel, they made the mute circuit more complex and use zener diodes to give paths to ground which open up quickly by holding the voltage at a certain potential. I suppose someone could try to make a single circuit to add to the mute to make it let up faster. Otherwise, each relay needs a path to ground for the stray electrons which build up on the contacts in a way which will not affect the overall tone much.
