Hello guys. As much as i like the shrunken look of my mini, i still feel that looking at the knobs to see the position of the settings are, on stage, completely useless. That little dot its just not visible, at lest for me. I have been thinking of pairing that dot of some color, maybe a glow in the dark stuff, but still i would like to change the knobs, any of you have a good tip on this or some other knobs that can fit the small profile?

Thank you.

Yeah, I'm not very fond of the way the knobs are made either. All I can see is my reflection, but how the heck am I supposed to tell where the knob is without getting a foot away from the amp?

I thought about marking the little indent some how, but a sharpie doesn't even leave a mark on it.

White out?

once you have it set up and that you will hardly be touching the knobs, at first I thought the same thing:)

This is just an idea. What if you replaced the led strip or added in series a strip of UV LEDs and the added UV reactive paint like red or white to the divit on the knobs.

Then when the UV light shines through it should light up the paint.

Here is the suggestion from a product specialist at Mesa Boogie:

or

I like the second option myself.

I'd like to see a photo of a Mini Rec with each set of knobs. Not sure how they'd look. I'm thinking about changing only the gain and volume knobs on each channel and see if that's enough.

How about a little dot of fluorescent hobby paint?

I found some mini chicken head knobs online for under $1 each. I just wonder if they'll fit....

What size shaft do the pots have?

I have photoshopped a mini with the top row one know, then bottom the other.

How did you scale them? I was under the impression that both sets of knobs were the same size.

I just scaled them by hand - I wasn't aware both knobs were same size.

I have a Lonestar (Classic) and was looking at the knobs on it - I am not convinced they'd fit on a Mini head properly. Think I might try the finger nail polish in the indent

Gosh... I do wish someone would come up with a good proven picture solution cause I hate not being able to see my knobs during day and night. Not sold on the fingernail polish paint yet but its as though. Someone take a pic of it if they have done it please.

Well, tonight I'm doing the fluorescent paint thing just to get through the gig, but I'll take the plunge on the Express-style knobs (I saw them side by side with a Mini, and they should fit). It will take some doing because MESA wont' sell and ship them directly to me overseas, so I'll have to go through the dealer where I bought my amp...which means THEY'll have to order them...you guys in the US have it so easy.

Check out this post. It's a roadster and not a mini-rec but you get the idea.

I found these. I'm thinking about them for my roadster.

I like this as an option the best, but I don't think that they will fit the shaft size. Does anyone know the correct size?
