I re-amped the Mago and Lasse DI pack from the Sneap forum.

First clip is my Recto with an SD-1 boosting it, going into a Randall warhead 4x12 with V30's

Just for an extra, a clip of my 50 caliber + through the same set up as the recto. Miking position is the same on the cab for each clip.

Nice.

I really have to start recording a DI off my guitar... sure beats having to play the same stuff over and over again while testing out different ideas.
 
Nice riffs. I really dig it. Only suggestion would be a little less double bass on the drums in the chugging sections.
 
I liked the 50cal better, sounded deeper and fuller.

Wow, those sound fantastic! I also thought the 50 cal sounded better, but a little knob tweaking and I think the rec would dominate for grind and chunk. Suprised at how good the 50 sounds though. It's like right between the marks and recs, which is what I think Mesa intended.
 
The 50 cal + was actually made before the rectifiers came out. I may redo these clips through a Studio pre/295 rig I just got :mrgreen:
