Dual Rect 4x12 and 2x12 hook up question

Hi all, new to the forums however I've been playing Mesa now for about 3 years exclusively. I just picked up a mesa 2x12 recto cab and I'm going to add it to my 4x12 oversized tomorrow. I'll be using a Dual Rect and wanted to know which goes to what inputs? (do both get hooked into the 8ohm slots or something different). I appreciate any and all help on this. I don't want to hook it up wrong and I can't seem to find my owners manual.

Hello,

Welcome to The Board.

Both cabinets should be 8 ohm. Plug each cabinet directly into the 4 ohm jacks on the amp.

The reason you do this is because two 8 ohm loads in parallel equal a 4 ohm total load. The 4 ohm jacks in the amp are wired in parallel and connected to the 4 ohm tap on the Output Transformer.
