I've come into a situation where a guy wants to trade his "new" Tripple Rectifier head för my 10 year old Tri-Axis (V.II) rig. It works and sounds great, but it takes up too much room. My question is if this is a good trade or if either he or I should rethink? Any thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. Even though it is 10 years old, the Triaxis still sells for around a grand, 2:90s around $800, and the Abacus for around $200 - when they come up for sale. Even though his Triple is "new", resale on it wouldn't be more than $13-1400.

Plus, you have so much more versatility in your rig than you would a Triple.

It would be a bad decision IMO.
