Hi there,

I recently changed the tubes to JJ E34L's. Whenever I'm in channel 2, in raw or modern modes the presence knob does absolutely nothing. When I switch to vintage mode it goes from either no presence at all, to ear piercing super harsh high end as soon as you're past 12 O'clock. I've tried calling all the repair guys in town and Mesa but everyone's gone for the holidays.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?
 
not a problem....mine does the same thing.....channel two is made for vintage so that mode has the most adjustability.....if you want more presence in raw or modern then that's what the red channel is for.
 
How high is your master? When I've got the volume on mine low, the presence does very little. It has much more of an effect at substantial volumes, so maybe try that? Otherwise, I'd contact Mesa.
