sorry about the absurd amount of posts by me about this amp but I'm wondering if the earlier tremoverbs WITH ground switches are superior to the later ones WITHOUT ground switches in any way? They also seem to differ in the older ones have an attached power cord whereas the newer ones you can take out.
 
Any amp with the power cord "Hard wired" will be a little quieter than one with a removable cord (IMO). as far as the grounding switch, it's more of convenience than a tone thing.
