Hi,

this is my first post and i think this is the best board i could find for these matters.

As a already said, my Triple Rectifier isn't as loud as it was when it was new. I noticed a loss of volume and punch. I'm not shure, i could imagine, that my 6L6 tubes aren't the best anymore. I use them for about 2 Years now.

In case that i have to change them, which tubes do i have to change exactly.

I wanna have my punchy sound back:)

Thanks

That'll be your 6L6 power tubes you'll need to change, the left 6 big tubes. You could either get them from Mesa directly, or, the site I like to use, is http://www.dougstubes.com/. If you order from Doug, make sure you put that you need them with Mesa specs.

I agree. Also if you dig the JJ's, talk to Bob @ Eurotubes. But i wouldnt go with the JJ's :) I just like Bob - Hes a good guy. I would also stay away from the mesa's too. They dont last very long. I you wish to go Groove Tube you can match the mesa "color code" to the Groove Tube rating scale.

Red(mesa) = 4(GT)
Yellow = 4
Green = 5
Gray = 5
Blue = 6
White = 6

Thanks for your posts,

and the preamp tubes are ok then? Ok then i have to save a little money for some 6l6 tubes.
