I've tried 4 or 5 times in my life now to mic my Mesa Boogie Dual Caliber 5 1x12 combo (I have no "real studio" experience, just self-taught, so don't be hard on me! :lol

That's the final mix i've done of some riffs, or whatever.
This is the guitars unprocessed.

What's the problem here? Is the amp set wrong or is it more likely to be a micing position "failure"? I have very inaccurate cheap monitors (sadly) at my "secondary studio" so i have a fucking hard time to tell if its good sound or not there, only when i come home to my trusty (lol) hi-fi speakers (lived breathed, eaten with them, so i know how something "should sound" with them, that i could tell if its good or not, what i've recorded).
To me it feels like the tone is too bright, i didn't put the mic in the middle of the cone, it's to the right of it, or so. and maybe 1inch from the speaker.
I didn't use any blanket over the amp, should try that next time, see if that helps to improve the tone anything.
Any tips or ideas of what i've done "wrong" are welcome!
