So, I picked up a used M-Audio Firewire 410.
It came with all of the disks, but not the dongle! Didn't realize I needed one or I would have talked the price down!

So...
I have Cubase SX installed on my PC.
I am able to receive audio from the 410 (now that I have installed the newest driver).
I can record.
I can hear what I am playing through my headphones but the volume is fairly low.

I cannot hear the audio when I play the recording back.
I have tried all of the settings on the Control Panel for the 410 and the Cubase output control panel.

Any suggestions?????

Thanks in advance!

In order to hear the playback of what you recorded from the M-Audio, you have to configure it as a 'stand alone' sound card. Not sure if you did that already.

So basically everything goes into and comes out of the interface.
