So I picked up a Blue Icicle USB to XLR preamp yesterday (mainly for Skype and Youtube videos) and thought i'd give it a whirl here.
It took a while getting the miv positioned just right and the gain trimmed out right. It's super hot with condensers and very weak with dynamics, but works reasonably enough for the $54 after tax I paid.
