Hi there, can anyone give any advice on inexpensive ways of deadening a smallish room for recording?

Cheers in advance

I have not used these but they are cheap and most reviews are on the positive side.

A really cheap method, which is what i did was to use rugs and mattress (egg crate looking) foam on the walls. Just make sure you cover one opposing wall so there are no standing waves. Use rugs on the floor. Thats your cheapest option.

If you have the ability to augment the room by creating odd angles (no perpendicular walls/ceiling), this also helps a lot.
