I am seriously starting to look into picking one of these up. The biggest reason I want one, is that I played a Marshall Plexi a few weeks back, and I just can't get the sound out of my head. And you can only get that sound cranking it, which even in my house just isn't practical.

I have also read a lot of people using Mark IV's have had some good success.

Does anyone here use either?

If so, any chance I could get you to post some dry clips?

Can it handle something like a plexi on 10, or close to it?

And as far as for my Mesa's, will I get a better sound micing my cab at a moderate volume, or going through a palmer at loud volumes?

i use the PDI-09, which is the same as the pga04, but without the load part.
i have a weber mass lite for that, which works great.
i post tunes in the song forum all the time...

Do you find you get a better tone this way then micing your cab at a low level?

I have PDI-09 as well, it's very nice. I play speaker-less, preamp into headphones and I haven't had better tone before when I used processors as cab sims.
There are a couple of my clips on youtube, but have in mind that I'm beginner with recording :)
