No speaker emulation at all, raw head, which isn't really good. Plug it into a Podxt/J-station/V-amp and turn off the amp emulation and just use the cab simulators and you can plug it into you computer. That's at least how I do it with my Mark IV and J-station 
That silent recording feature on the F series is worthless imo.
I've had pretty good results using a HotPlate as a load box and using the line out on the Hotplate and then using cabinet emulation from my Toneport.
