Hey all! Just a note to introduce myself and say hello. I am a longtime Mesa Artist (since 1991), a Record Producer/Mixer, and a session musician. Some highlights from my discography include New Radicals, Hole, Robben Ford, L7, Edwin McCain, Chicago, A.J. Croce, and Jane's Addiction.

Given that I have owned and recorded dozens of Boogies since my first Mark IIB in 1982, I have a rare perspective. I am happy to share that perspective with anyone who is looking to get the most tone from an amp, especially in the recording studio.

Apropos of that, Mesa asked me to write about my initial experience with the TransAtlantic TA15 for its Amplitudes blog a few years ago. Here is the link to
Tones and Tips with the TA-15 in the Studio | MESA/Boogie®. The piece contains an audio sample and amp settings.

My recent instrumental album, Marchesano, features different Mesa amps on all eleven songs. Mark V, custom SimulClass Mark 1 reissue, Mini Rectifier, ElectraDyne, Stiletto Deuce, Royal Atlantic RA100, TransAtlantic TA15, Rectifier Recording Preamp, Big Block 750 and Bass Prodigy 4:88 are featured. I documented the guitar and amp settings (and frequently the speaker, mic and micpre choices), so let me know if want me to share them with the community.

I have found The Boogie Board to be an invaluable resource, so I hope to contribute some meaningful info from time to time. Hit me up with your ideas for discussion!
