Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar:
RARE 1978 Marshall JMP Super Bass 100 watt head
Fawn tolex
Amp sounds great with no issues and VERY LOUD
Has newer Groove Tubes installed with plenty of life left
Original transformers and all else appears to be stock, check out the pics. If you would like more pics, please ask. I am willing to send whatever hasn't been displayed so far.
Adding to the rarity of the Fawn Tolex, the amp started out as a Super Lead and was converted at the factory to a Super Bass. It was common for them to switch a Super Bass to a Super Lead and even less common for them to switch a Super Lead to a Super Bass. Note the label inside the amp indicates Super Lead and the gold sticker on the back indicates model number 1992 as well as the "Bass" sticker covering the Lead on the aluminum panel
Doing a mod to Super Lead to Bass or vice versa is pretty easy and any tech will be able to do this for you. There are plenty of forums that have the information required to do said mod.
