Hello guys. I just bought quad of JJ 6L6 since one of my stock Mesa tubes is blown. My question is, is it safe to leave mesa tubes that are still working in slots 1 and 4 and put two new JJ tubes in 2 and 3. So i can have one spare pair. Or you guys think it is better to replace all four of them.

If the Mesa tubes are old I'd replace all 4.

If they're still relatively new and one just failed (it happens) then I'd only replace the pair.

FWIW - Mesa has a 6 month warranty on their tubes, so if your amp is under 6 months old I'd contact them for a replacement.

They are not new. 4-5 years. I did not play my amp for some time so will change them all i supose. But generaly is it a problem to use different brands of tubes in pairs. Like i mentioned one pair in slots 1 and 4 and other brand in 2 and 3.

On a Roadster I don't see any issues.
