I've looked for threads on how to replace the 3 interior 12ax7-s in a 290 Simuclass - the threads I were related to power tubes and tube brands. I am using all Mesa tubes.

Question is how to open the 290, if required.

Would I need a hand (use a rubber mallet) impact phillips tipped tool, to remove the face plate screws? Do they need to be removed?

Any links or help appreciated.

I recall some digital board manufacturer (G4) offers source code the addresses the ports and sends interactions to the "controls" on the TA. Is there any sample source code available to connect a lap top to the TA. I am a ware of "executable" code - onrof the providers, a Brit named Tony, offers executable (compiled) code. His suggestion was I write a port sniffer. Like that's something I really GOT TIME TO DO: isolate 8 or so ports out of 128,000 ports on a 64 bit 'puter.

Thanks - it's done - sounds great - except for a 200hz issue when recording:
