Mesa amps have a cold fixed bias when using 6L6’s. However, EL34 mode is the opposite. The Stiletto Deuce amps are like the rest of the big Mesa amps that use EL34’s. They are still fixed bias but they are set fairly hot so a moderate to cooler grade of power tube works best.
