Hey dudes, I have a matched set of SED =C='s, and I would like to know which of the current and older "Boogie" tubes they resemble the most in tone and physical character, thats IF they resemble any at all :?: thanks
 
=C= 6L6's are much more articulate than the STR-440's mesa has. To my ears the 440's are a bit grainy/gainy at times, though I do like them on occasion. As far as the =C= EL34's, the mesa STR-450 NOS Seimans. Though the Seimans IMO are better, but your also paying for it at $150 a pair. They were reasonable several years back at $70 pair.

Overall the =C= are excellent tubes, for new production.
