hi guys,
below you find the link to my poor blog (in italian) where I put a couple of posts and clips of the Mark V:25 played trought the WGS speakers: a VETERAN 30 and an ET65; they're mounted into two diy cabs dimensioned around a Mesa Recto. the guitar is a '94 ZION with Seymour Duncan Pickups ('59 neck and TB-4 Bridge) standard tuning .10 .46 Ernie Ball Strings. I made the takes with a shure58 at more or less 6in from the speaker (15cm)
basically the settings of the amp is the same for both speakers (you find a picture in both link);
-for the clean tone: FAT mod with all the knobs at 12 o'clock the mid at 9 and master at 8.30, no eq.
CLEAN TAKES
-for the overdrive tone: MARK IV mod with Gain at 13 o'clock, treble at 11.30, mid at 13, bass at 11, presence at 12, and master at 8.30 no eq on.
OVERDRIVE TAKES
disclaimer, maybe it will sound a little darker on your ears, sadly I cannot raise the volume too much.
