I've been looking into amplifiers for my G&L bass, and since I have loved my Mesa guitar rig, I wanted to continue with a Mesa bass rig. I was just wondering what amps, cabs, and combos you guys use. The Walkabout Scout looks like it's going to be my favorite.

I have a 400+ w/ 2 PH410s, also have a ph115, and an old diesel 18 cab. But the 400+ sounds good through all the cabs I have (GK 810 sbx, and NEO 412).

Walkabout Scout 12" version here.

Also use the Walkabout head with Trace Elliot cabs (2x10+H) (1x15) (4x10) (4x10+H).

Very impressed with the combo. Impressed also with the two Trace 4x10 cabs.

i use a m-pulse 600 with a ph410. that´s all you need, know what i mean? enough power for all eventualities.

Just added a new ph1000, running it just with the Walkabout head (in a headcase for the cool vintage look) - sounds breathtaking.

Can't wait to try a Big Block.

i use a 400+ through an ampeg 6x10 cab and i think it sounds great.

Mesa 400
4x10 Road Ready
1x15 Road Ready
Unbelievable tone! Looking to swap the 1x15 for another 4x10.

Hey another G&L user.....................I use a 400+ and a couple of cabs ( not at the same time.....yet ) I use an Ashdown ABM810 and a Basson B210B, both are great cabs.

I love my G&L L2500

I play through an Impulse 600 to a Powerhouse 1000.

Weapons of choice: Ernieball Bongo 5 (tangerine) and a Lakland 55-01(natuarl wood) both with rosewood fretboards. And coming soon will be the Xotic BB Bass Preamp.

the other system is 4 walkabout 1x12s. that rig gives best bass sound i've ever heard on stage.

Currently, i'm running(and digging it) a Mesa M-Pulse 600 with a Powerhouse 4x12 cabinet 8) . I love the sound those 12's produce.
Other gear..Depth Charge and/or Brown dog,Rotovibe, Warwick Corvette.
