Ok, new here on this forum. But it seems the best place to ask.

Looking into getting a Tremoverb in the near future. And I will want to get a nice new mesa cab (or two) to match. Yeah I know I'm vain

So I am looking at ether the Stiletto cabs or the Rectifies. I tune to Eb standard and the mesa oversized are just out of the question.

Can someone give me the lowdown on the pros and cons on each cab.

I like my Marshall 1960 vintage 4x12 and get the felling that the Stiletto is basically that. But correct me if I'm wrong.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

These cabs have gone by different names in the past.

Stilleto cab has also been called Traditional.

Rectifier cab if I'm not mistaken also refers to Standard, and Oversized.

The Rectifier cab has bigger interior dimensions to allow for huge, deep bass to develop. This complements the natural style of the Rectifier. The Stilleto cab has smaller dimensions--more Marshall like--which in turn produces a much tighter bottom end. You can use the Tremoverb with either one. It just depends on if you're looking for a nu-metal type of tone, or for a more rock tone.

Well there we go. I know that I don't like the Oversize cabs (or now Standard cabs )

That made my choice really easy.

Cool, thanks,
