Hi-
Im wondering if anyone has a nice solution to the following issue:
I like using my pedalboard with the time based effects (delay, chorus, vibe, and looper) in the effects loop and with the gain and filter stuff in front.
however, I often find myself having to plug into back line at festivals etc. where I cant easily do a 'four cable' setup.
With a patch panel (normal) at home I've been able to set up my pedals so that by default the entire 'time' loop is appended to the 'gain' loop but if I patch an additional 2 cables in (amp effects send and return) it takes the time stuff out of the 'front'. But a 48 port patch bay is not something Im adding to
my pedal board!
Has anyone used a widget that is effective for this? If not, I might take a shot at making one. I think a very small form factor 4 port patch bay would do it. no external switched or anything would be needed.
I know I could just separate the board into two but I like to keep the board wired nice and tight both for quick setup and so that I don't get
cable continuity problems from stuff flexing.
ideas?
Rens
