I recently tried my dunlop cry baby model95 in the loop of my MV and really liked the tone. I have always thought the wah belonged in front of the amp and the clean wah is slightly better with the wah in the front. However, i like to wah my gained signal not gain my wah signal if that makes sense. The wah in the loop for the gained tone was what i was looking for. It sounded great. I am wonering what others are doing for there wah sounds. In front or in the loop? Thanks

In front for me. Didn't like the way it sounds in the loop.

i think it sounds terrible in the loop.

just terrible.

but, hey, that sound might actually work for a track or two...
it will sound quite different than the norm.

thanks for the replies. I didn't expect to like it but I only like it with mid and high gain tones. For clean definitly in front. i wouldn't say its better it just sounds differently with the gain. I may have to have one in the loop and one in front lol.

Front is typical, as many have previously noted.
However, like Steve Vai and others have stated before, it depends on the sound you're looking for / the sound you like...and your loop itself.
