I am trying to emulate the guitar tone from Winds of Change by the Scorpions (See attached URL fro video)

I am playing through a Mark V with a G-Force. I am assuming this is being played through a strat.

Is the sound for this tone driven by an over-drive pedal? And if so, would this be run through Channel 1 or 2?

Thanks

Maybe tweed setting on channel 1 with low-mid gain being pushed by an OD. Too much gain and you'll end up muddy.

IMO, you'l probably need a Strat to nail this one. Back in that era, Strats with stacked humbuckers (thinking Dimarzio HS-3) were common in that kind of music setting.

Also, maybe some reverb, delay, and chorus.

Hope that gives you an idea.
