Mini rec makes funny noise when changing effects

Post by Chopperdan » Thu Jun 20, 2013 3:23 pm

Hello all mesa fans,
First time post for me, I'm using a mini rec with tc nova system and getting a funny noise when changing the effect patch for the first time once switched on, it sounds like glass smashing,
Was very worried the first time I heard it so quickly checked the tubes, all intact,
Wonder if anyone can shed some light on this
Many thanks.

Never heard of such a thing. I'm using a G System with mine, no weirdness. Strange...

Whatever it is, I bet you folding money it's NOT the amp. (assuming everything with the amp is in good working order)
Rivera R55 and K55, Frenzel 5E3-40, MIA Strat, Reverend 6 Gun, Weber, Reaper.

Welcome to the board.

That description sounds like you are clipping the AD convertor with too hot a signal. Try turning down your channel masters.
