Just picked up a POD-500..... Few quick questions...
I have a Mark V head and a Recto 2x12 cab. I got the POD500 for effects only, but may use the amp sims in the future plus they are nice to have in a floorboard and for whatever reason, should I should have issues with my amp at a gig, as I can plug in the pod directly to the pa and use the power amps and amp sims to cover me from there...
But, getting back to the question at hand, can anyone give me any tweak tips on the Mark V end for using the POD for effects only? I've read about the 4 cable method and may try that but just wanted to know on the Mesa Mark V end specifically if there is anything I should set or pay attention to on my amp when using the HD Pod-500.
I also want to keep as much transparency with my Mark V sound as I can in regards to my tone.
