Multieffects for Mesa rack
Hi all!
I'm building a rack with a Mesa Rec Preamp and a 2:Fifty.
I'm looking for a good quality multieffects around 700 euros.
I'm mostly using delays and pitch.
Would you have any suggestions from stuff you have used?
Cheers!

Re: Multieffects for Mesa rack
TC Electronic G Major is used widely, and for a bit more the G System is very nice.

Boss gt 10. You'll get a multifx + footcontroller in one unit. I have used it with a mk4 and a mesa rectoverb combo with excellent results. Channel switching and the works. Plus you can use it via the 4 cm and set it up so that your drives come infront of the amp and your timebased effects, delay, reverbs pitch and such go in the loop.

Thanks for your answers guys.
How's the pitch shifting on the G Major? Can it handle chords and distortion?elvis wrote:TC Electronic G Major is used widely, and for a bit more the G System is very nice.
I have the GT-Pro, but I don't like it at all.. It seems quite fake.... Do you get decent pitch shifting with gt10?Geiri wrote:Boss gt 10. You'll get a multifx + footcontroller in one unit. If you don't like the gt pro then stay away from the 10. It's basically the same engine. I have also used the tc gsystem and that is my second favorite after the boss unit. If you are into the tc stuff you'll love the G system.
For my ears the pitch shifting is good on the 10 but if you think the gt pro sounds fake it will probably translate to the 10 also.

I have the G System. Pitch shift and harmonies are good, but not perfect. Definitely useable.
But a Multi-FX is generally designed for 'verb, delay and mod. If you want the best pitch effect, you will probably have to get a dedicated unit.

used Lexicon MPX-G2 with the R1 MIDI floorboard.....Delays and Verbs to die for, very convincing Wahs and ODs, lush Modulation FX and a decent Harmonizer (if the guitar is in tune)....
