Distortion-friendly wah pedal suggestions?

Post by thinskin57 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:09 pm

wondering what wah models people are having good results with when combined with distortion. my Dunlop Cassic Fassel wah seems to disappear a bit when i start to pour on the distortion. i'm aware of the Teese wah pedals ("fuzz-friendly technology") and the Fulltone Clyde range, but i have a hard time spending over 200 bills for a wah. thinking about the Ibanez WH-10V2, but a little put off that it is not true bypass (and no, i'm not one of those true bypass fixated types). any other models i should know about?

Any brighter wah. The Dunlop Hendrix and Wylde wahs are common choices for cutting through high gain. The Dime and 535Q wahs can be dialled in to be bright.
Ignore the hype and trust your ears. Play more, buy less = better tone.
