I need a case for my pedal board, which one?????
I have a Pedaltrain PT-2. I love the size of it, but have outgrown it a little.
I am thinking that I can find a road case for a pedal board or a mixer and use the top to house my PT-2 with some room on the sides for other pedals, cable routing, etc.
I found these in flea bay, but they don't ship to Hawaii: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Effects-Pedals- ... 336b253f41
Anybody know of a company on the West Coast (or anywhere for that matter) that makes or sells quality medium duty flight cases for cheap?
I don't want anything that is so crappy I will regret the fact that I bought it. That being said, I also don't have a small fortune to invest.
Internal dimensions should be close to 28" wide x 14-16" deep x 6" high
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got a PT Pro with hard case for $250 new. The case is HUGE, though.

Hi Andy,
Good luck, if I find anything on the web in that $$ range I'll let you know.

Too bad they won't ship to you, I've bought 4 of their cases and have been very happy them. IMO for the money they are great cases for a locally gigging musician that transports their own gear. I wouldn't take them on a world tour though LOL.Monsta-Tone wrote:I found these in flea bay, but they don't ship to Hawaii: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Effects-Pedals- ... 336b253f41

I was thinking about having it shipped to a friend in California and then having him ship one out to me.
For what it would cost to do that though, I could just get a Pedaltrain Pro w/HC and have it shipped for free from AMS or Musician's Fiend.
How are the hard cases that the Pedaltrain boards come with?

I have a PT-2 with the hard shell case. I have some shots I will try to put up later since I am still new to photobucket. It is the the standard PT-2 hard case. I use the 4CM and automotive cable wireway. The cable will not fit in the case. I may look into that fiber wireway or even a multi-pair cable, but for now I have a small backpack I use which has spare strings and tubes in it as well. Of course I only use a M-13 with two EXP MIssion Engineering pedals. Won't fit anything else in the case that way other than some small spare parts, 2 XLR cables, fuse box, and a flashlight.
Call PT and talk to the guys there. They have some larger cases but they have compartments in the side which may need modification in your case (no pun intended).

The PT Pro case is VERY nice. Which makes it pretty heavy and large as well. It has a small-ish compartment on the side for cables. It also has wheels. Overall a good deal, but way bigger than I expected. I'm thinking of trading my Pro for a PT-2 with a hard case. The board is a GREAT size, but I just moved everything to a rack.

Re: I need a case for my pedal board, which one?????
Hey guys,
Thanks!
I did talk to PT. They said that none of their lids come off. I don't get that, but it's the way their cases are.
I found one on the bay that the guy thought was a PT Pro case, but it was not deep enough. Inner dimensions were 30.5 x 12. If it had been 2" deeper, I would have gotten it! The PT-2 is already 12.5" + power cord so it just wouldn't work for me.
I want to add a volume pedal so I need something about 28" wide and 12-16 wide. Too bad they don't make anything in between the PT-3 and the PT-Pro.
I don't really want any other brand that I've seen. I've had a few that simply fell apart and wood tends to mold where I live.
Thanks!

Re: I need a case for my pedal board, which one?????
This is how my board fits in the standard PT-2 hardcase. The assembly just lifts out for setup. So far the velcro and all hasn't came loose. I followed the instructions more then to the letter.
