Pedals or Line 6 M13

Post by jpistolas » Tue Jun 12, 2018 1:34 pm

Been heavily considering selling my pedals (sans wah, tuner & EP boost) and buying a Line 6 M13. Would be playing this through a DC-5 with the serial loop mod. Any suggestions? Any M13 owners that could lend some advice? - Thanks!

I think the M13 has some good effects in it but I've haven't been able to get an overdrive/distortion out of it that I like.
Express Plus 5:50, TC-50 with 2x12 Horizontal Cabinet, 70's Fender Deluxe Reverb, Pro Junior. Too many guitars to list but #1-Fender Hwy1 Tele w/ Muy Grande pups, #2A-PRS McCarty Korina w/ P90's, #2B-Fender Double Cut Telecaster w/Dirty Harry pups.

I had several line6 M bonds, even traveled with one internationally for convenience. While convenient, they never sounded as good as pedals into an amp. They don’t have the three dimensional-ness and richness. They sound flat to me.
Amps: Mark 1 Re-issue Simulclass, Mark III purple, Two Rock
Cabs: 1x12's and 2x12's
Guitars: Tom Anderson Classic; PRS Studio; Heritage H-555, a couple custom Teles
