I live in an area with large industry nearby , in this case, a large coalmine. As a result, I cant use variac on my mark v as it causes it to hiccup. At first, I thought my amp had issues but after digging into the manual a bit more, I found a section which stated not to use variac in areas of heavy industry. Is there anything I can do to better regulate the power to my home or at least my amp?

Try a power conditioner that is also a voltage regulator.
A power conditioner simply cleans incoming line voltage, but will do nothing to regulate the voltage. In this case, you need a true Voltage Regulator, which will keep the incoming line voltage at a constant level. I hope this helps.
