Whats up people.

I wanted to share two new original songs my friend and I just recorded. Off course both of us use Mesa amps, a DC-5 combo and a Studio Pre Amp. We are very inspired by Dream Theater, Joe Satriani and Van Halen. Hope you like it, and any comments are welcome! :D

Man, nice lead tone and some cool music. I bet this was a tonne of hard work to put together.
I really liked this one riff at 4:45 on 'frantic'. You could build a whole album tune off of something like that, I think. While a simple idea, the harmonies were very surprising, especially in this genre. I thought it was brilliant. Keep at this!!!

The flow of the music reminds me of instrumentals like what liquid tension experiment would compose; It's far more episodic and spontaneous than it is cogent. The individual pieces are a lot of fun to listen to but perhaps would become tedious if a whole album was comprised of a style like this. Sometimes -but not all the time- it is profitable to impose more structure and limitations on a composition. As a writing exercise, perhaps try and limit your material for one instrumental and structure it to have more recurring ideas. A great way is to work on coming up with 10 different variations of a single melody that are all recognizable. You can also come up with a hook or a rhythm that you use throughout the instrumental in various guises. What is interesting is to have recurring sections of music, but to try and make each 'repetition' different in a very interesting and unexpected way.

Once again great work!

Thank you very much for the kind words, we truly appreciate it! And we will definitely take what you said in consideration when writing the next tunes. I think that would be a interesting way to write a tune. Comments and new ideas are always nice.

Once again thank you very much! :)

We posted to new songs again today. Comments on writing, mixing, recording, playing and so on are all welcome. Hope you enjoy! :)
